A few from our session last night.
“When I get comfortable I keep moving”
Being comfortable at something makes me uneasy, somehow. For me it’s sign that I’m stagnating at something and if I don’t do anything about it I get bored…very miserably bored. That’s when I start moving! I have some new creatives in the works

I had a great time on the set for this shoot. The girls were awesome. A photo session like this could have a lot of pre-production planning. On the day of the shoot the models and the client were at the venue(the Salon) at 9am getting prepped up. I got to the Salon later in the afternoon to set up for the shoot and they were still being prepped up. Ninia, the make-up artist and Marva, the hairstylist did a fantastic job.
The best Fifa World Cup host: South Africa
I came across the above image I photographed near Johannesburg in my archives today! Kudos to the people of South Africa for hosting a successful World Cup.
I’m proud to be African!!!
Lickpenny Loafer
Last week I got a call from the lead vocalist Ron(a.k.a. Arunachal) of Lickpenny Loafer and he asked me if I could cover a private pre-album release performance at the Smiling Buddha Bar in downtown Toronto. All I can say right now is watch out for their album. I can’t wait to work with them on the artwork for their CD release.
Just before the performance we went outside to a alley nearby and I managed to sneak in the pic above. I removed the hotshoe flash off my camera to light this shot. Creativity prevails!!

Sarina
“If you are passionate about something, you become good at it”
I don’t know where I heard the above phrase or read it but it keeps resonating at the back of my head time and time again. This art of photography is a long learning journey. Just when you think you are “there”, the more you realize you are not even close and you find there is more to learn.
A sneak peak from a session with Sarina today. Sarina was fun to work with. We did a fitness photo shoot but you won’t get to see any of the fitness shots yet…..I’m saving the best for last:-)
A bit of dis n dat….
The past few weeks have been busy(family and work) and this week was no exception. I’ll post more updates when things cool down a bit and I figure out which way is up….
……..a shot of a commercial work I did for a local yoga studio in Milton with my own personal touch to it. This is a hot yoga studio and the room temperature during the shoot was around 38 degrees Celsius:
New Portfolio Gallery
About a month or two ago I announced I’ll be updating my book with fresh images I had in the works for the summer. The images will eventually be printed for the agencies before the end of the summer. Well, summer is not almost here yet, kinda, but this creative project has gotten off on a good start that I have decided to put them up on the site and start sharing.
I’ve met many cool people doing this project and I’ve made some new friends too. I’ve witnessed some of the coolest martial art stunts that will for sure give the casts of Crouching Tiger a run for their money.
I have added a new SPORTRAITS gallery to the site. I named it Sportraits because that’s what it is. Creative portraiture of atheletes. Please check them out here There are more creative concepts in the works and I’ll be sharing them with you as God continues to open up my creative vision and the weather gets warmer. Stay tuned!
New images in the works
My apologies for being a bit quiet on the blog lately. There are a lot of things going on that’s been keeping me busy, but all for a very good reason. Besides family commitments, I’m working on some fresh images to add to my book. This is going to be a summer long project and I’m very excited about this.
Here is a little sneak peak. Thanks to Dave Corbin for being a great athlete and Jennifer Neabel for being my assistant. This shoot was done early hours of the morning with a sub zero temperature and never did I hear any of the guys complain. Well done guys!!
Talent alone is not enough!
“Rome Wasn’t Built In A day”
Or was it?
“If I’m going to be in this industry, I’m going to want to be the best at it. And yet I couldn’t guarantee is that I was going to be the most talented in this business. But one thing I could guarantee is that I was going to work harder than anyone else.” -David Droga, Founder of droga5 Agency
